This Audemars Piguet reference 5043 BC is an elegant ultra thin dress watch in 18k white gold. The case shows signs of original brushing on the lugs, while the edges remain sharp and well defined, indicating careful preservation.A rare and highly desirable feature of this example is the presence of its original, signed 18k white gold mesh bracelet. The bracelet fits up to approximately 18 cm wrists and adds both weight and refinement to the watch, making it a complete and uncommon offering. The white dial is fitted with painted black Breguet numerals, giving the watch a classic and slightly more traditional character compared to baton marker variants.Power comes from the Audemars Piguet calibre 2003 movement. This calibre was developed in 1953 through a collaboration between Audemars Piguet, Jaeger-LeCoultre, and Vacheron Constantin, based on the earlier 9ML movement originally introduced by Audemars Piguet in 1938, which at the time was the thinnest movement in the world. The calibre 2003 was adapted for serial production while maintaining an exceptionally slim profile, making it one of the most important ultra thin movements of the 1950’s.Highlights– Original 18k white gold Audemars Piguet bracelet– Breguet numerals dial– Ultra thin case profileSpecificationsBrand: Audemars PiguetModel: Ultra ThinReference: 5043 BCCase material: 18k white goldDial: WhiteMarkers: Painted black Breguet numeralsMovement: Audemars Piguet calibre 2003, manual windCase width: 32 mmYear of production: circa 1966
